First Friday Reading - March 2022
Ladette Randolph is the author of five books, most recently the novel PRIVATE WAY (forthcoming in March 2022). She is the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Award, a Pushcart Prize, a citation from Best American Voices, and a Virginia Faulkner Award. Her novel A SANDHILLS BALLAD was twice a finalist for Nebraska's One Story One State program and was an Editor's Choice book at the New York Times Book Review. She is the editor-in-chief of the literary journal PLOUGHSHARES.
Randolph is co-owner of the manuscript editing business Randolph Lundine.

His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in POETRY, Ploughshares, Cincinnati Review, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review, Oxford Poetry, Poetry Society of America, Prairie Schooner, and other literary journals and magazines. He is a finalist of Brunel International African Poetry Prize and a recipient of fellowships and Grants from Nebraska Arts Council, Pen America, Obsidian Foundation, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he is a Ph.D. student and serves as an Assistant Poetry Editor for Prairie Schooner."
Breaking and Entering: How to Get (and Stay!) Published
This class will give you a 360-degree view of traditional publishing: tips on how to submit your work, position yourself, get published, what to do now to prepare for that fateful day, and what you can expect after you sign the contract. This class will be lecture-based, with plenty of time for Q and A. You’ll leave this class with a good sense of the range of different publishers, how to break in, and how to make the most of your career as an author. This class applies to all genres.
Reading & Writing Holiday Party
Let’s kick off the Holiday Season with some fast-paced writing and short but powerful reading sessions! The format is simple. We alternate five-minute readings with 15-minute mini writing workshops that start with a craft talk and end with a writing prompt. Five readings, four workshops, so you’ll not only leave the event inspired but you’ll have some new writing too!
