💛 Why This Day Matters
Bethany in Bloom returns on May 2, bringing vendors, music, poetry, local businesses, and community organizations back to N. Cotner Blvd from Holdrege to Aylesworth. With 20 vendors already signed up, this year’s festival continues to grow into a full day of neighborhood activity. For a few hours on a Saturday in May, Cotner Boulevard is more than a street you drive down, and Bethany more than a place you pass through. It’s a neighborhood again, with people out on the street, shopping, eating, listening to music, and stopping to visit with one another. You're welcome to spend some time at Larksong while you’re in the neighborhood!

We’re inviting writers, readers, neighbors, and friends to join us in a day-long celebration of words—through writing, poetry, and shared creativity. Every moment of this festival is designed to uplift the arts and amplify Larksong’s mission.
All funds raised during the event go directly to support our programs—and thanks to the Give to Lincoln Day event happening all of May, your donation will be matched and go even further.

Open House | All Day
🕙 Write-a-Thon* | 10am – 3pm
Writers commit to creating as much as they can in one day—poems, essays, short stories, or whatever inspires them. Visitors are welcome to stop by, donate, and cheer them on!
📚 Book Sale | All Day
Shop a curated selection of books and support local authors. Every book sold helps fund Larksong's mission.
🎤 Slam Poetry Showcase | 12pm to 1pm
Enjoy powerful, original performances by featured poets on the street stage. Come be inspired by voices that tell stories and change hearts.
🎉 Donor Recognition | Birds of a Feather
Supporters will be honored with colorful “Birds of a Feather” displayed in Larksong’s windows—a public celebration of generosity and community spirit.
✍️ * What is the Write-a-Thon?
Larksong’s Spring Festival Write-a-Thon is a one-day creative challenge and community fundraiser. Writers of all experience levels commit to writing for as much of the day as they can—on site or remotely—while collecting pledges from supporters. All funds raised support Larksong and are amplified through the Give to Lincoln Drive.

We ask each writer to aim for 3 or more pledges—every bit of support helps Larksong thrive.
✨ How it Works
- Writers write from 10 AM – 3 PM on May 2
- Seek pledges using our Pledge form (link below).
- Join us in-person at Larksong’s main level conference room, or write remotely.
- Come and go as needed.
- QR codes on pledge forms make it easy for supporters to donate via Give to Lincoln.
