Kick off the holiday season by joining us in celebrating 5 years of community and creativity! 

Five years ago, we opened our doors with a simple hope: to let people know we were here, ready to write, and ready to build a community of writers. We thought perhaps 40 or 50 people would stop by. Instead, in the next 90 minutes we welcomed more than 200 members of the Lincoln community who came to tell us they welcomed the idea and the reality of a place just for writers in Lincoln NE. 

Since that day, we have held dozens of writing classes online and in person; hosted more than 200 readings by authors from all over the United States - attended by writers from the US, Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Puerto Rico, Spain, the Canary Islands, and India! Collaborated with more than a dozen local literary and civic organizations; celebrated alongside dozens of writers who drafted stories, essays, poems, and plays in our classes, our writing groups, and our Open Writes. 

In 2023, we were honored to receive a Mayor's Arts Award for "Heart of the Arts."
