Journal Club
Journal Club is an open table, freestyle visual art group for journaling, sketching, designing, writing and creating memories through the artistic process. Filling the pages of an empty journal can be intimidating to anyone. By showing others my current journal full of drawings, poems, collected items, coffee stains and more, I can encourage others to record their experiences in their own way and with their own voice. During journal club we will explore the ideas of what could be included in a journal and how to structure each page and other creative strategies will be discussed.
Bringing a journal is encouraged but not required. Journals will be available for purchase. Some supplies like pencils, pens, vintage postage stamps, and decorative papers are provided, but everyone is welcome to bring a journal and any supplies they wish. There is conversation, inspiration, and an opportunity to ask questions and join in the creative process.
