Marcia Calhoun Forecki is a native of Kansas City, MO. Her first book, Speak to Me, was a memoir of discovering her son’s deafness, published by Gallaudet University Press in 1986, the first book for hearing parents of deaf children published by the press. She has published short fiction in the Bellevue Literary Review and Kaleidoscope, focusing on disability, diversity, and inclusion.
