Memoirists Nancy McCabe and Suzanne Ohlmann join together for a reading and conversation about writing, the writing life, and life. Both women write from the heart and bring a wealth of experience to the page and to their readings. Join us for a fun evening of words and laughter!

If weather allows this will be an outdoor patio event. Bring your lawn chairs! 

This event is part of Larksong's Visiting Writers' Series. Nancy McCabe will also be offering a workshop "Bringing Memoir Alive Using Techniques from Fiction" at 1 pm CT June 14. Enrollment limited! Register on our On-Site Workshops page.

Nancy McCabe is the author of six books, most recently Can This Marriage be Saved? A Memoir (Missouri 2020) and From Little Houses to Little Women: Revisiting a Literary Childhood (Missouri 2014). Her work has appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including, most recently, Salon, the Brevity Blog, Essay Daily, Entropy, ACM, and Women Talk Money: Breaking the Taboo. She's the recipient of a Pushcart and eight recognitions on Best American notable lists.

Suzanne Ohlmann is a writer and registered nurse.  Her first book, Shadow Migration, came out March 1, 2022. Her essays have been published by Texas Monthly, Intima: The Journal of Narrative Medicine, and Longreads. She lives in San Antonio with her husband, son, and an ensemble of dogs and cats.
